Great turnout for MSGC and GC Chamber's Santa's Village
Santa's Village took place on Saturday, December 2nd from 1pm-3pm at the Activity Center in Guthrie Center. Main Street Guthrie Center and Guthrie Center Chamber spent many weeks preparing for this event. There were activities that included; make your own personalized ornament, build a tower for your elf, sticker activities and write a letter to Santa. We had some very special guests in attendance, Spider-Man, Cinderella and even some of Santa's helpers, the Elves.
Another fun activity at Santa's Village for families while waiting to see Santa and Mrs. Claus included watching the Christmas train that was generously lent to us so we could use during this event. Snack and drink were provided as everyone spent time enjoying all that was offered at Santa's Village.
We really wanted to make this a special event for all the children and families that attended Santa's Village. Our incredibly helpful elves made sure that every child went home with a special "make your own snow globe" cookie kit!
We had such a fun time
This well attended event had many families come through the door. The space we created for Santa and Mrs. Claus was picture worthy. The activities were perfectly geared to all ages of children.
"My favorite thing to do was making my tower for my elf. His name is Buddy!"
"I wrote a letter to Santa asking for a Unicorn pony"
Santa's Village is always a free event to the community
We are so thankful for the free will donations that we received throughout the afternoon. We make sure that our Santa's Village event is always a free event for families to attend. However, any and all donations from that afternoon will go right back into next year's funding. Thank you again to all those who donated.
